Once I got admission in Rohini College of engineering and technology, one of the top 10 engineering colleges in nagercoil, the worrying factor for me was whether I could continue my sports.
I was an average
student but a better sportsman. Initially I was wondering how I got admission
on RCET. I have heard that it’s one of the top 10 engineering college in
nagercoil of Tamil Nadu.
Being from Silchar, a small town in Assam and an average
student rejected by many other colleges I was happy to get an admission in
RCET, the best engineering college in nagercoil. As I reached the
college i understood that it’s not just the academics that the college
management takes to consideration. They also go through our other skills before
completing the admission procedure. This made me more excited as I finally
reached the right hands where my dream of being a footballer can be achieved.
The college has a large and beautiful ground with all the
facilities for sports. We used to participate in university matches and other
inters college matches. The coaching staff and other personals are very supportive.
The management also conducts inter college competition with great enthusiasm.
Our college team used to participate in local matches during
holidays and during vocations. The lectures are also supportive and always
remind us that academics is also important. They give us extra care and help to
achieve good marks. Being an average student it was of great help to me.
Rohini College of engineering and technology, the bestengineering college in nagercoil, shaped the footballer in me and I
was able to get a government job in sports quota. RCET is a great example for
other colleges where just academics matters. RCET takes hand in hand academics
and extracurricular activities so as to find the talents of each individual. No
wonder it’s the best engineering college in Kanyakumari district.

Rohini College - INHOUSE MINI PROJECT EXPO 2020
The inhouse Mini Project Expo 2020 organized by Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering of RCET with an aim of providing a platform for students to exhibit their talents. This would encourage student’s curiosity and creativity.

The function was inaugurated by Honorable chairman Shri.K.Neela MArthandan and it was presided over by Managing Director Dr.Neela Vishnu, Chief Financial Officer Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal of RCET ,Heads of Department, Teaching and Non-Teaching Faculty.
Apart from their curriculum, to gain practical knowledge about the Electrical Sciences this expo was conducted. Projects like Home Automation by Speech, Smart Road System, UltraSonic Blind Walking Stick,Heartbeat Sensor,EH tracker,Li-Fi, etc.,
The projects of the students were judged and evaluated by the respected faculty expertise of the department on the basis of performance, quality, social responsibility, innovative idea and implementation strategy of the project. With much enthusiasm, students explained their work with the help of a presentation and then demonstrated the project, which took the judges to the world of Electrical Science. Good interactions between the judges and team members made students to know about different emerging technologies in various fields.
The best three projects were awarded on the day of Symposium RONIX 2K20.This act as a great motivation for the upcoming engineering graduates.
The function has been a result of good hard work done by the finishing school students who showed good enthusiasm to display their projects. The function generated a high degree of excitement and participation in the faculty and students of the college with the aim of providing a platform for students to exhibit their talents. This would encourage student’s curiosity and creativity.

How do you feel being part of Rohini college of Engineering?
I am extremely delightful as I was a part of Rohini College, and my
learning was truly valuable. The support from all the lecturers and
staff was immeasurable. They guided me to work on my weakness and helped
to strengthen my positives. I am thankful for the industry exposure and
the internship and placement opportunities provided to me. I feel I am
blessed with rich experienced Professors. Great support from Management
in every situation. They provided good orientation towards the market
opportunities available in job market in different sectors. With this
kind of support, I became of what I am today, and I am successful in my
industry.
What makes Rohini College different from others?
Rohini College is one stop solution for Gen Next Engineers. It
transformed me into a professional from a student. Four years is a very
short time to learn everything that Rohini College teaches you. Support from my lecturers and love from my friends made it even more special.
How was your journey with Rohini College?
It had been a great journey with Rohini College, and it gave me a
platform to understand my strengths and harness it to my potential. The
teach team also pointed out my areas of improvements gave ample
opportunities to convert it to my strengths. Huge thanks to the team of
Rohini College for being supportive to me and to help me achieve my
dreams.
How was your college life in Rohini College?
It was nice to be a student at Rohini College. I must say, days at Rohini college of Engineering
were best days of my life. Apart from academic, I had a great industry
exposure. We went on a lot of industrial visits. It was great experience
to visit these companies and knowing actual industry work. These visits
helped me a lot to connect me with the actual work. Teams at Rohini
College were always helpful to me in building my career. I really want
to thank all members of Rohini College.
Overall it was an amazing journey and I am glad I choose Rohini
College of engineering while I was an engineering aspirant. Thanks lot
for the whole team at Rohini College of Engineering and Technology, Kanyakumari.
