Once I got admission in Rohini College of engineering and technology, one of the top 10 engineering colleges in nagercoil, the worrying factor for me was whether I could continue my sports.

 I was an average student but a better sportsman. Initially I was wondering how I got admission on RCET. I have heard that it’s one of the top 10 engineering college in nagercoil of Tamil Nadu.

Being from Silchar, a small town in Assam and an average student rejected by many other colleges I was happy to get an admission in RCET, the best engineering college in nagercoil. As I reached the college i understood that it’s not just the academics that the college management takes to consideration. They also go through our other skills before completing the admission procedure. This made me more excited as I finally reached the right hands where my dream of being a footballer can be achieved.

The college has a large and beautiful ground with all the facilities for sports. We used to participate in university matches and other inters college matches. The coaching staff and other personals are very supportive. The management also conducts inter college competition with great enthusiasm.

Our college team used to participate in local matches during holidays and during vocations. The lectures are also supportive and always remind us that academics is also important. They give us extra care and help to achieve good marks. Being an average student it was of great help to me.
